1. Information We Collect
Depending on how you use the Service, we may collect:
- Account information — such as name, email address, and authentication identifiers associated with your sign-in method.
- Child profiles — information you choose to provide about a child, which may include a name or nickname, birth date or age, and optional gender. Profiles are created and managed by the adult account holder.
- Artwork and context — photographs or images of children’s artwork that you upload, plus optional drawing context or notes you provide.
- AI-generated content — educational observations, insights, and related analysis outputs generated through the Service and stored in your account.
- Subscription information — subscription status and related entitlement data received or verified through Apple. Apple processes payments; we do not receive your full payment-card number.
- Usage and technical data — limited operational records needed to enforce free/Plus analysis quotas, maintain security, troubleshoot, and operate the Service.
2. How We Use Information
We use information to:
- provide, maintain, and improve the Service;
- authenticate accounts and protect against unauthorized access;
- store child profiles, artwork, and AI-generated observations you request;
- verify ChildArt Plus entitlements and apply plan limits;
- respond to support requests; and
- comply with law and enforce our Terms of Use.
3. AI Processing
ChildArt AI uses OpenAI’s API to provide AI-assisted artwork processing. When you request an analysis, relevant artwork images and analysis context may be transmitted from our servers to OpenAI so that OpenAI can generate the requested educational observations.
Production processing uses OpenAI’s Chat Completions API endpoint family
(https://api.openai.com/v1/chat/completions). API credentials are stored server-side only
and are not embedded in the iOS app or this website.
OpenAI states that data submitted through its API is not used to train its models by default unless the customer opts in. OpenAI may retain limited API data for safety and abuse-monitoring purposes in accordance with its applicable policies. We do not control OpenAI’s systems and do not promise retention, deletion, or handling practices beyond what OpenAI describes in its published terms and policies.
We do not send your ChildArt account password or payment-card data to OpenAI. Payments are handled by Apple.
4. Children’s Information
ChildArt AI is intended for adults such as parents, legal guardians, and authorized caregivers. Children should not independently create or operate ChildArt accounts.
Children’s personal information and artwork are provided by the adult user to use the Service. We do not sell children’s personal information. We do not use children’s data for targeted advertising.
5. Service Providers
We use trusted service providers to operate the Service, including:
- Supabase — authentication, database, file storage, and server functions;
- OpenAI — AI-assisted processing of artwork and related analysis context;
- Apple — App Store distribution, Sign in with Apple (if used), and subscription billing/verification.
These providers process information on our behalf or as independent controllers where applicable under their own terms.
6. Sale / Advertising / Profiling
We do not sell personal information. We do not sell children’s personal information. We do not use children’s data for targeted advertising. We do not use the Service to build advertising profiles about children.
7. International Processing
CHILDART INTELLECT is based in Ontario, Canada. Service providers such as Supabase, OpenAI, and Apple may process information in Canada, the United States, and other countries where they operate. Where information is processed outside your jurisdiction, it is handled under this Policy and the providers’ applicable terms, subject to applicable law.
8. Data Retention
We retain account, profile, artwork, and analysis data while your account remains active and as needed to provide the Service. After account deletion, we delete or de-identify personal data associated with your account within a reasonable period, except where limited usage, subscription, security, or legal records must be retained where necessary for fraud prevention, dispute resolution, legal compliance, or legitimate business records.
9. Account and Data Deletion
You may delete your ChildArt account from within the app (Settings). Deleting your ChildArt account removes associated children, artwork, and analysis data from the Service according to our deletion process.
Deleting your ChildArt account does not automatically cancel an Apple subscription. Manage or cancel ChildArt Plus through your Apple ID subscription settings.
10. Privacy Rights and Choices
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain information about personal data we hold, or to withdraw consent where processing is consent-based. To exercise privacy rights or ask questions, contact us at childartintellect@yahoo.com. We will respond in accordance with applicable law. Nothing in this Policy limits non-waivable consumer or privacy rights in your jurisdiction.
11. Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information, including authenticated access controls and server-side processing for AI requests. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
12. Medical / Psychological Disclaimer
ChildArt AI is not a medical or psychological diagnostic service. AI-generated outputs are educational observations only and are not diagnoses, psychological evaluations, medical advice, therapy, abuse/neglect determinations, or developmental assessments. See our Terms of Use for additional important limitations.
13. Policy Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The effective date above will be revised when changes are posted. Continued use of the Service after an update means you acknowledge the revised Policy, except where applicable law requires additional notice or consent.
